Paratiritirio | Isna, Mani

The Paratiritirio (meaning 'observatory') is a house residing on the side of a gorge in a remote location in the Mani known as Isna.

It consists of two separate buildings that were merged. One is the observatory and the other is an old cistern right next to it, resulting in an absolutely stunning indoor pool.

The structures are not the only things that were merged, though. The house displays a crafty combination of old and new, traditional and modern, grounded and luxurious.

This project was undertaken by the highly decorated studio 'Etsi Architects' in Kardamyli, Mani.
